Reliable charging for standard installations in the work vehicle
The DM1230S efficiently charges the auxiliary battery from the vehicle generator while driving. With 30 A charging current and 96 % efficiency, it handles most installations in work vehicles without unnecessarily burdening the starter battery or generator.
Simple battery type setting via dip switches
With four dip switches, you set which battery type is connected - AGM, GEL, LFP (lithium), or standard lead battery. It ensures that the correct charging voltages are used and that the battery is neither overcharged nor undercharged. A setting that takes seconds but is crucial for the lifespan of the battery.
Fine-tune via RapNEMO
With TBB's configuration tool RapNEMO, you can adjust the maximum charging current and voltage limits for when charging starts and stops - important to not draw more power than the vehicle manufacturer states the generator and batteries can handle, thereby protecting the vehicle's electrical system in the long term.
Two ways to control charging - with or without D+
With D+ connected, charging starts when the ignition signal is detected, and the generator voltage rises above 13.2 V - an exact and safe way to ensure that charging only occurs when the engine is truly running.
If you cannot connect a D+ signal, the charger works just as well. Without D+, charging starts automatically when the starter battery voltage rises above 13.2 V and shuts off below 12.8 V. All voltage limits are adjustable via RapNEMO.
Euro 6 compatible – no issues with modern vehicles
Euro 6 engines vary the alternator voltage significantly depending on the driving situation. The DM1230S is designed to handle this and charges the auxiliary battery correctly even when the voltage fluctuates - something a simple relay connection can never manage.
Automatically protects the starter battery
The built-in back-charging function continuously monitors the starter battery. If the voltage falls too low, the device automatically charges it back up to 3 A from the auxiliary battery - preventing a discharged starter battery and a car that won't start.
TBB Premium II – smart charging in every situation
Soft start, bulk, absorption, and float maintenance - the charging process automatically adapts to the current state of the battery. Automatic temperature compensation via the included temperature sensor ensures correct charging regardless of weather.
