Maximum charging capacity for demanding installations
DM1260S is the top model in the DM series and built for installations where fast and powerful charging of the backup battery is essential. With 60 A charging current, you charge a 100 Ah battery in less than 2 hours while driving – and a 200 Ah battery is fully charged before most have left the highway.
Easy battery type setting via dip switches
With four dip switches, you set what type of battery is connected – AGM, GEL, LFP (lithium), or ordinary lead acid. Correct settings ensure correct charging voltages and protect the battery from overcharging and premature aging – especially important with the high charging currents that DM1260S delivers.
Fine-tune via RapNEMO
With TBB's configuration tool RapNEMO, you can adjust the maximum charging current and voltage limits for when charging starts and stops – important to not draw more current than the car manufacturer states that the generator and batteries can manage, thereby protecting the vehicle's electrical system long-term.
Two ways to control charging – with or without D+
With D+ connected, charging starts when the ignition signal is detected, and the generator voltage rises above 13.2 V – precise and safe, charging occurs only when the engine is truly running.
If it's not possible to draw a D+ signal, the charger works just as well anyway. Without D+, charging starts automatically when the starter battery's voltage rises above 13.2 V and turns off at below 12.8 V. All voltage limits are adjustable via RapNEMO.
Euro 6 compatible – handles smart alternator systems
Modern Euro 6 vehicles actively vary the alternator's voltage. DM1260S is designed for exactly this and delivers stable, correct charging no matter how the vehicle's electrical system behaves – without interference or incorrect charging that damages lithium packs or AGM batteries.
Protects the starter battery – even during long standstills
The back-charging function ensures that the starter battery never drops below critical voltage. If low starter battery voltage is detected when the engine is off, DM1260S automatically charges up to 3 A from the auxiliary battery – a simple but important function that prevents downtime.
TBB Premium II – intelligent charging in every situation
The charging process is microprocessor controlled with soft start, bulk, absorption, and float maintenance. Automatic temperature compensation via the included sensor continuously adjusts the charging voltage – critical at 60 A charging current where incorrect voltage can quickly damage cells.
Quiet despite high power
Even at 60 A, only passive cooling is used – no fan, no noise. Compact format and Plug and Play installation make it easy to fit even in tight spaces.
