A correctly mounted pilot sign contributes to increased safety by early alerting surrounding traffic that transport is being led or escorted. This reduces the risk of misunderstandings and contributes to a more controlled and predictable traffic flow, especially for larger or more demanding transports.

The quality of pilot signs is crucial for both safety and durability. The signs need to withstand daily use and the effects of weather, wind and dirt, while retaining their clarity and readability over time. Therefore, it is important to choose signs that are adapted for professional transports and demanding environments.

For the best possible visibility, pilot signs should be strategically placed on the vehicle, usually on the front or back of the escort vehicle, where they are clearly visible to other traffic. Correct placement and accurate signage are an important part of a safe and professional transport solution.
